Terms and Conditions


1. General

These general terms (”general terms”) apply to you (”you” or ”customer”) as a consumer when you make an order from Oy Wheelström Ab (”we” or ”Wheelström”) through our website at www.wheelstrom.com. We encourage you to carefully familiarise yourself with these general terms before making any orders in the web shop.

The customer must accept these general terms to be able to make any orders in the web shop. By accepting these general terms, the customer agrees to fully comply with these general terms and simultaneously accepts and gives his or her express consent for the processing of his/her personal data in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

Please note that these general terms give you specific rights, and you may have other rights based on mandatory consumer legislation, which may vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.

3. Prices and rates

All prices are shown including 24% Finnish Value Added Tax (VAT). A delivery charge will be added to your order, unless you decide to pick up the product at the Wheelström warehouse. Read more under Shipping and Delivery.

Our prices are in EUR. You can get an estimated amount in Swedish Krona (SEK) from Google Currency Converter, updated daily. Small differences from your bank’s current exchange rate may occur, and we disclaim any responsibility for the amount shown in SEK on your receipt if it does not match the actual amount you pay.

4. Methods of Payment

The customer may pay his/her orders by using the following methods of payment, also defined in the web shop; Credit card (VISA, Mastercard, American Express), netbank payment, invoice or payment in instalments.

Unless otherwise agreed, Wheelström charges the customer upon making the respective order.  In case of invoicing or payment in instalments, Wheelström or its partners may acquire the customer’s credit data from a third party.

The payment services offered in the web shop are provided by Klarna AB (”Klarna”) (556737-0431, Sveavägen 46, 11134 Stockholm, Sweden). In the Klarna Checkout service, these payment services include invoicing, payment in instalments, credit card and e-payment. More information on these services and their terms are found www.klarna.com or in our web shop when making the respective payment.

 5. Shipping and Delivery

We currently ship to Finland.

All products are shipped from our warehouse in Helsinki. When your order has been shipped, you will receive an e-mail stating the estimated delivery time.

For shipping to any other countries don’t hesitate to ask friend@wheelstrom.com.

Shipping to Finland

In Finland our e-bike shipments are delivered by Posti. After your product has been shipped, you will receive a call from Posti to schedule a delivery time. Cargo e-bikes are delivered by Kaukokiito.

Rates: E-bike 30€, Cargo bike 105€, Other 5€

Estimated delivery time: 3-4 working days

6. Return policy

The regret period is fourteen (14) days, and is counted from the day you have received your product. You can exercise your right of regret if; 1) you notify Wheelström of the regret no later than fourteen (14 days) after receipt of the product, 2) the product is unused and in the same condition as when delivered with all parts intact, and 3) the product is packed in the original packaging or similar.

In your notice of regret you must state that you regret your purchase. Send the notice preferably via e-mail, to friend@wheelstrom.com, or call us at +358407440411.

If you exercise your right to regret the purchase, the product shall be returned within fourteen (14) days of the regeret notice.

Returning a product is to be done at the customer’s expense, unless the product was faulty or damaged upon delivery. When returning a product, the sender is responsible for returning the product in flawless condition.

If you return a product, Wheelström will refund the respective payment to the customer as soon as or within 30 days upon receipt of the returned product.

8. Warranties and complaints

For our e-bikes we offer a warranty for select parts, as follows:

Motor: 1 year

Other electric components (Controller, brake sensor, PAS, display): 1 year

Battery: 2 years

Frame: 5 years

Regarding right of complaint, we follow the effective rules and regulations based on consumer sales law in each country (Finland and Sweden).

Please keep the receipt for the purchase. Without the receipt, the warranty and the complaint right will be void. Please note that the warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, and is not valid in cases where the safety precautions described in the handbook accompanying the e-bike have not been followed.

Please furthermore note that the warranty and right of complaint are not valid if:

  • the e-bike has been used for other purposes than normal biking
  • you have made construction changes or changes in the electric system
  • the e-bike and/or the battery is not taken care of according to instructions

The provided warranty does not affect the ratutatiry consumer rights provided by law.

9. Unclaimed packages

Unclaimed packages will be returned to Wheelström. For all unclaimed packages you will be debited any fees that are connected with the return delivery.

10. Changes to the General Terms

Wheelström reserves the right to change these general terms at any time. All changes to these general terms are published on the website. The changes shall enter into force when the customer has accepted the general terms (when making a new purchase or when surfing on the web shop) and in any event after thirty (30) days of their publication. Wheelström therefore recommends that the customer visit the website regularly to gain information on any changes to these general terms.

11. Applicable law and Dispute Resolution

All disputes arising out of or relating to these general terms, the web shop or purchases made in the web shop shall be settled by a competent court as determined by applicable mandatory legislation. In the event of disputes, Wheelström aims to follow any decisions of the Finnish Consumer Complaint Board or an equivalent authority of another EU Member State.

The legislation applied to these general terms shall be determined in accordance with applicable mandatory legislation. Unless otherwise stipulated by applicable mandatory legislation, these general terms shall be subject to the laws of Finland and any disputes arising out of or relating to these general terms shall be settled by the courts of Finland.

If a dispute can not be resolved through negotiation between Wheelström and the customer, the customer can submit the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board (www.kuluttajariita.fi) for resolution.

Before taking the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board, the consumer should contact the Local Register Office’s Consumer Advisory Service (www.kuluttjaneuvonta.fi)
